The Department of Allied Health offers courses leading to an Associate of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, an Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology and a Certificate in Pharmacy Technology. In addition to courses that directly support one of the department’s programs of study, Allied Health offers courses to provide introductory or ancillary skills in areas such as EKG technology, medical coding and phlebotomy. The department also offers courses in health sciences.

  • 9 Yoga in the Gallery
    Yoga in the Gallery starts on March 9th in the Overhang Gallery on the third floor of the Alexandria Museum of Art. Classes will be on Tuesday from 5:30pm-6:30pm and Friday from 8:30am-9:30am. Joan Manuel and Leigh Collins will lead the sessions and switch days once a month to keep things interesting! Yoga can improve strength, muscle tone, flexibility, skeletal alignment, and balance. Through a regular Yoga practice, one can learn to calm the mind, create a sense of inner peace, and learn to be present in each moment.

  • 13 LA Region IV Science and Engineering Fair
    The Region IV Science and Engineering Fair will be held on Saturday March 13th in the Fitness Center. Students arrive to set up projects at 7:30 a.m. Judging begins at 9:00 a.m. The awards ceremony will be from 2:30-4:30 in Coughlin Hall auditorium.

  • 15 March Back 2 College
    Colfax, LA: March Back 2 College is an informational session for adults interested in returning to or starting college. The Program will be held at the Colfax Pulbic Library from 6 -7 p.m. Anyone interested in starting college is encouraged to attend.
